Season 2: Ep19 Are you an art lover? A student of peace education? You will want to connect with artist, gallerist, dancer, musician and Ukranian citizen Alla Rogers
Today on the Questions Bar: Check out Ep19 of the show where we interview women who teach us that inner-knowing, and not taking shit, guides all powerful women to live the life of their dreams!
In our podcast and video show sponsored by Inkandescent Women magazine, we invite you in to listen in on a chat with two girlfriends talking about topics of the day that touch their minds, bodies, spirits, souls, and hearts: AlinaZ in Los Angeles and Hope Katz Gibbs in Washington, DC.
The mission of the show: To share tools and experiences to manage stress and find hope in our lives each and every day. In Season 1, the hosts engaged in some girlfriend therapy as they discussed issues that were challenging them, and found healthy solutions to transform the pain to joy (see some of the topics below).
In Season 2: Every Friday, Alina and Hope bring inspiring guests onto the show and ask them 3 Big Questions to mine deep into their hearts as they tell the stories of their lives:
- What is one miracle you can share to inspire others to believe in miracles when times are hard?
- How do you love yourself, even when you think you don’t look or feel good?
- If you were in charge of the country, what’s the first thing you would do — and why?

“Memory,” by Alla Rogers
This week: We interview artist and art Curator Alla Rogers, who founded the Alla Rogers Gallery in Georgetown in 1990 as a showcase for contemporary European and American Art. For decades, she focused on the newly accessible art from Eastern Europe and the countries of the former Soviet Union. Her gallery was in the vanguard of this focus.
More about Alla: Alla has curated hundreds of exhibitions and led artist exchanges between American and Eastern European artists. An award-winning international artist herself, Alla has exhibited her own paintings in Kyiv at the National Fine Art Museum of Ukraine, Ukraine’s national collection of art treasures. Two of her works were selected for the US Embassy’s permanent collection in Kyiv through the Art in the Embassies program. After 32 years, she closed the Georgetown gallery in 2022 — and is now working online around the world to continue her legacy. Learn more at AllaRogers.com.
