In celebration of International Women’s Month (March 2015), the Millennials at BeInkandescent.com interviewed their moms about what makes them truly amazing.

“After all, we know these women are truly amazing,” says Millennials Radio Show Host Eurah Lee. “But what impresses them?”

As it turned out, while our mothers come from different countries, and today live in different parts of the world, they had similar thoughts on what it means to be truly amazing — and what they want for their children as they grow into Truly Amazing Women (and men) themselves.

In this interview you’ll hear from:

  • Eurah’s mom, Billie Kim
  • Jonathan Nichols and his mom Bonnie Nichols
  • and recent college graduate Juliana Rodriguez, who is now the assistant editor at InkandescentPR — with her mom, Maria Rodriguez (pictured right)

Millennials On Money: Are You Planning Ahead for the Future?

“Millennials and money. The words flow right out of my mouth just like my money flows out of my bank account,” shares Millennials Radio Show Host Eurah Lee. “You’d think that the assistance of banking applications on our smart phones that me and my fellow 20somethings would be better able to keep us abreast of our cash flow and finances.”

But the sad reality, she admits, is that many of us have yet to learn the value of saving money. We do know that we have to learn about it — and now is a good a time as any to take control of our financial futures. read more...

Millennials and Pressure: Are You Feeling the Squeeze?

“We are a generation that is highly educated, and have been taught to believe in ourselves,” says Millennials Radio Show host Eurah Lee. “Many of us also believe that we are free to chase any dream and that we can become who and what we want to be. While the adrenaline rushes every day, it’s sometimes overwhelming.”

However, she admits, her mom Billie Kim (pictured right) never put any pressure on her.

“Only think about yourself,” she told me. “Don’t worry about me or your sister. We’re fine, and will always be fine. Don’t think about anyone else’s future but yours.” read more...
