His affinity for Latin culture evolved during his academic career when he participated in multiple exchange programs, including one in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1997. In the years since, he has put to work his dual degree in finance and Spanish from James Madison University, and his MBA from the University Adolfo Ibáñez, focusing on B2B software sales business in the fintech industry. For decades, he pioneered key markets throughout Latin America, then during the pandemic pivoted to focus on data and artificial intelligence.
