About our guest: Claudia Porter joined Financial Reserve in 2016. She is a Certified Financial Planner™ professional and holds FINRA Series 7 and 66 licenses with Cambridge Investment Research and life and health licenses. Born and raised in Germany, Claudia earned her M.A. in Teaching English and French from the Georg-August University of Göttingen, followed by a Ph.D. in Applied Linguistics from the Technical University of Braunschweig Carolo-Wilhelmina in Germany. She spent her previous academic career in adult education, teaching linguistics and English to international students in Germany and the U.S. Before joining Financial Reserve, she worked with Merrill Lynch Wealth Management. Claudia is the mother of four boys, Jack, Leonard, Nicholas, and Harry, with whom she enjoys pursuing outdoor activities, tennis, swimming, biking, fishing, and reading.
